Personal Information
Eco Recruitment collects personal information in connection with our recruitment business in accordance with The National Privacy Principles set out in The Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). We collect information such as your name, address, prior work experience, qualifications, skills, nationality, languages spoken, past responsibilities, memberships of associations and other information relevant to assist you in finding work.
Sensitive Information In some circumstances we may collect sensitive information. We do not normally need to collect sensitive information, however if we do we will seek your consent. The Privacy Act defines sensitive information includes information such as racial or ethnic origin; political opinions; membership of a political association; religious beliefs or affiliations; philosophical beliefs; membership of a professional or trade association; membership of a trade union; sexual preferences or practices; criminal record or health information about an individual.
Personal information may be collected directly from you in an interview, a telephone conversation or from your CV. From time to time we may also collect other information about you such as references from previous employers, particularly if you are being considered for a position.
Eco Recruitment will, where practicable, endeavour to disclose the purpose for collecting your personal information at the time of collection.

Use, Disclosure and Quality of Personal Information
Eco Recruitment will use your information to assist you in finding employment, to register you for events, promotions or competitions, to establish and maintain a relationship as a client or candidate, or as disclosed at the time of collection.
Eco Recruitment will endeavour to the best of its abilities to only disclose your personal information to persons who have a valid and proper reason to see and/or use your information. These persons may include potential and actual employers who are clients of Eco Recruitment, referees and staff members of Eco Recruitment who need to access your information to do their job. Your consent will always be sought prior to disclosing your personal information.
Eco Recruitment will take reasonable steps to check that at the time we collect, use or disclose personal information that it is of sufficient quality for the purpose intended.

Gaining Access to your Personal Information
You can access personal information Eco Recruitment Pty Ltd holds about you by contacting our Privacy Officer. We will provide you with access to the information unless an exception applies (please see National Privacy Principle 6 – Access and Correction). We may charge a reasonable amount for giving access to personal information.
If your personal information is deemed to be inaccurate, Eco Recruitment Pty Ltd will take all reasonable steps to correct the information to ensure it is accurate. In cases where we disagree or are unable to correct the information, we will provide you with a reason for our disagreement and update your information to state that you have disputed its accuracy.

Eco Recruitment Pty Ltd will take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. We will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify personal information if we no longer need it for any purpose as described in this Privacy Policy.
